HELLO FRIENDS!!
OKAY before I get on with my email, I just have to really quick announcement that my VERY FIRST MISSION COMPANION, Sister Jensen, who served in the Phoenix Arizona mission, is going home like, tomorrow! She is the best and has literally changed my life, so just so you all know! I can't believe she's going home! It's sad and exciting! Anyway, I just had to make that important announcement.
Anyway, this week was crazyyyyy but awesome!
On Tuesday we had a lesson with Scott but he cancelled literally not even 5 minutes before, right as our ride was coming to get us, and that was really frustrating BUT then we got to go on exchanges! We went to Chick-Fil-A with the Sister Training Leaders before we started our exchange, and this really nice man paid for our lunch! Members here are incredible! Then we started our exchange. And you want to know something exciting? I got to lead the area! We had a lot of things planned, but they all cancelled, but it was fine. Sister Beutler and I made some really good visits! We were walking a long a road and this group of kids passed us, and one of them was riding on the very back of his bike seat, leaning way back, with only one hand on the handle bars and said, "hey ladies, can I get some digits?" So that was really funny!
Wednesday we exchanged back, and we did lots of exciting stuff! We got to go "illuminating" with Sister Malmgren, and we made cookies and that was really fun! We also had a lesson with Kim and Betty, and we asked them, "if you came to know that these things were true, would you follow the example of Jesus Christ and be baptized?" And they said yes! So we will be working towards that in the near future!
Thursday was a looooong day and it was super slow, we did our service project in the morning with the foodbank and we spent a good portion of the day doing weekly planning. Our dinner was incredible though, this member family made gourmet burgers and they were the most amazing things I have ever eaten. We also had a lesson with Heather Peterson that night, and we were able to figure out a few of the doubts she had about being baptized and help her figure a few things out! So that was really good!
Friday we helped set up for a an activity in another stake that we agreed to help out with. We also visited a man named Tim, who told us he liked how kind and happy "mormons" are, and we told him he could have that too, but he said his wife hates organized religion, so he can't meet with us. We also went to one of our ward's Christmas parties, where we saw Cori, someone we had contacted last week! And he came to the Christmas party, so that was awesome!
On Saturday, we had a really strange visit with Angela, she was really quiet, but we managed to teach her some of the commandments. We are not sure if she's okay or what's going on with her, but prayers would be appreciated. We went to help out with the nativity displays and that was so awesome! I'll send pictures!
Sunday was great! HEATHER CAME TO CHURCH! So that was really awesome! Her daughter was drawing funny pictures and notes about sin and trust and it was really funny. We also got to listen to "Like a Broken Vessel" by Elder Holland with Maggie, and that was really good for her! Idaho is wonderful and I love the weather, I wish it was snowing more though. Anyway, I love you all! Let me know how you are!!! Until next week

Mormon 8:15
For none can have power to bring it to light save it be given him of God; for God wills that it shall be done with an eye single to his glory, or the welfare of the ancient and long dispersed covenant people of the Lord.
Sincerely,
Sister Hatch
