THIS WEEK WAS SOOO GOOD
On Monday night we had a lesson planned with the Root family, but they cancelled last minute.
Tuesday morning was a little slow, but night time was wild! We had dinner with a family that has 10 kids, so that was fun. After dinner we went to go heart attack (that is when you tape paper hears on the front door) people we were teaching and when we got to Kim and Betty's house, they were outside in front, so we went to knock on another door while we're waited for them to go inside because heart attacks are supposed to be a surprise. But while we were knocking on the other door, Jake Root (the guy who cancelled out lesson) came up to the door and delivered a package! To the house! So that was definitely not a coincidence!
Wednesday we got our house inspected and luckily we passed our inspection! We also got to do service at the food bank. Sister Cliften took us to get Zupas, which was DEOICIOUS. And we found someone new to teach named Glen!
Thursday we had a zone conference, which was really neat. Elder Carpenter of the quorum of the seventy was there with Sister Carpenter, and Elder and Sister McCune of the seventy was there too! It was a good conference, Sister Tunstall and I didn't get picked for talks or roleplays, so that's good! We went over the the Earl's that night to make a Light the World video with Rae and Maggie, which was fun and was a way to get them involved!
Friday morning was slow, and no one had let us in from the time we left our apartment all the way until dinner, not even members because they were busy, so we were just nonstop walking for hours and it was getting cold, and we didn't have a dinner appointment so we were going to walk to subway. But then Sister Ranstrom texted us and brought us Zupas again! It was amazing, and then we had a lesson with Heather and WE SET HER ON DATE FOR BAPTISM. Y'ALL MIRACLES HAPPEN WHEN YOU GET ZUPAS.
Saturday we had a stake correlation breakfast at the Ingersoll's where I had the most amazing French toast I have ever had in my whole life. It was incredible. We also had a lesson with the Gillies, which was a really good start because they don't usually let us in to teach them! We also went to a baptism for someone in Sister Tunstall's old area, so I didn't know anyone but it was still amazing! I also ran into Sister Smith's (from the Sierra Monatña ward back home) sister! It was so fun, she was so cute!
Sunday was awesome as usual, lots of church and meetings and we had dinner with the Horrocks Family, who I asked if they were related to Walker's family, and they said they're not sure but probably. But they were so awesome! Then we went to see Aimee Bates, but she was asleep so we ended up talking to her daughter Kandra and gave her a Book of Mormon, so that was a really awesome miracle!
Hey friends, the Christ Child video premiered yesterday, and it is so amazing so you should watch it! It is available at Lighttheworld.org or churchofjesuschrist.org, or you can download the gospel library app and access it there! It is seriously so beautiful!
Anyway, it was a great week! I love you all!
2 Nephi 26:24
He doeth not anything save it be for the benefit of the world; for he loveth the world, even that he layeth down his own life that he may draw all men unto him. Wherefore, he commandeth none that they shall not partake of his salvation.
Sincerely,
Sister Hatch
