HEY EVERYBODY, HAPPY NEW YEAR
Wow, this week has been super crazy and slow, but good!
On Tuesday, we went on visits with Danielle Dayton, who is a return missionary and IT WAS AWESOME! She taught us so much, and we found so many people to teach with her! We had a lesson with David Gillies and we sang him "I Am a Child of God" and the spirit was really strong, David has had a lot of hard things happen to him, and is mad at God, so it was really special to get to share that love with him! David told us that he really loved it when we come over, and that was amazing to hear! We also got to listen to a song that one of our people we are teaching wrote for us, and it was SO good! We had a lesson with Kellan that evening, and he is so prepared for baptism, his dad just doesn't want to let him be baptized. We taught him about temples and showed him a picture of the celestial room, and his gave just lit up, it was so sweet! We went to one of our Bishop's houses until 8:30, where we tried out their electric bike in their underground gym. Yeah, they have an underground gym. Then we came home and I went to bed at 10:30, but I guess Sister Tunstall stayed up.
Wednesday we just did service and tracting, nothing too exciting!
On Thursday we called a bunch of people who we thought we could potentially teach and we actually got a few appointments from it! We took Danielle with us to see Dan (the man that wrote the song) and we sang him a song too! He really felt the spirit and we invited him to church! We also had a lesson with Heather and we talked about faith and read Ether 12 with her, and it was really really good!
On Friday we had zone council! We talked about goals and prayerfully set zone wide zones for baptisms, it was a pretty cool experience! We also had interviews with the mission president, which were really good! I love my mission president, he is the best!
Saturday morning we took Angela and Trevohn to the temple waiting room! It was super cool to see how the spirit touched them, Trevohn talked about how he wanted to get to the temple, and we assured him that he could get there! We had another lesson with David, and we brought Sister Jones from Centennial ward with us. They really connected and it was really cool to see how much her testimony impacted him. That night we found out about transfers and, drum roll please..........
I'm staying! Sister Tunstall is not, she is getting transferred to Baker City, Oregon. I'm getting a new companion, Sister Jones (not from Centennial ward). So it'll be different, but good! That night I woke up in the middle of the night with really bad stomach pains that haven't stopped since, so that's been not fun.
On sunday we got to help out with a Sunday school class, and that was super awesome because we got to interact with the youth and help them understand that it's not that hard to tell your friends about the Book of Mormon. We also had a fee lessons that fell through, which was sad, but we got to have a lesson with one of our Bishop's and his family! That was fun! Anyway, so my week was good and crazy! I love you all! Thank you so much for your love, thoughts, and prayers!
Ether 2:7
And the Lord would not suffer that they should stop beyond the sea in the wilderness, but he would that they should come forth even unto the land of promise, which was choice above all other lands, which the Lord God had preserved for a righteous people.
Sincerely,
Sister Hatch
